Chief Justice of India Surya Kant on Thursday (December 4, 2025) said acid attackers must be shown zero sympathy by courts, and the “entire system” must respond against them.
The Supreme Court was hearing a plea by an acid attack survivor, Shaheen Malik, to formally recognise acid attack survivors as persons with specified disabilities under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016.
