The government has said that 6,385 recognised startups have been categorised as closed as of October 31, according to data shared in Parliament on Tuesday. The information, based on records from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, reflects the status of entities that had earlier secured recognition under the Startup India initiative.
India has a total of 1,97,692 recognised startups at present.
