COP30, Pakistan and the UK join forces to accelerate climate action, sharing expertise

As the world returns home from the COP30 summit in Brazil, global partnership on tackling climate change has never been more important.

Pakistan knows the urgency for action more than most. This year, floods once again devastated the country. But by 2050, the damage caused by heatwaves and drought will outweigh the damage caused by floods.

The UK is also feeling the impacts of climate change. While warmer summers were at first celebrated, the serious consequences of climate change have quickly become clear. In 2024, there were over 1,300 heat-related deaths in the UK.
