The father and son accused of one of Australiaβs deadliest mass shootings spent nearly the entire month of November in the Philippines, Australian police said on Tuesday, with the father entering the country on an Indian passport.
Sajid Akram, 50, and his son Naveed Akram, 24, who allegedly killed 15 people and wounded dozens at a Hanukkah celebration on Sydneyβs Bondi Beach, were reportedly in the Philippines from November 1 to 28. Australian police said the purpose of the trip is under investigation, and that the suspects reportedly received military-style training during their stay.
