President Recep Tayyip ErdoฤŸan visited Turkmenistan to attend the โ€œInternational Year of Peace and Trustโ€ proclaimed by the United Nations and co-sponsored by Tรผrkiye, and attended the 30th anniversary celebrations of the declaration of Turkmenistanโ€™s permanent neutrality. He discussed the regional crises and peace initiatives with his counterparts on the sidelines of the event.

On his return to Ankara, ErdoฤŸan made important statements regarding the war in Ukraine that were noteworthy. He said that โ€œpeace is not far away,โ€ adding, โ€œWe believe the war should have ended long ago. All we need to do is turn our direction toward where peace lies.โ€
