The Police in Ogun State have launched joint operations with other security agencies to intensify security in the state during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Personnel of the joint forces deployed included the military, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Amotekun Corps, Ogun State Community Social Orientation and Security Corps (SO-SAFE), Vigilante Group of Nigeria(VGN) among others.
Spokesperson for the command, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, stated that massive number of personnel had been deployed to strengthen patrols and improve security measures along major highways particularly the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway, Sagamu/Ijebu-Ode road and other strategic locations to safeguard lives and property.
