Indian mythology and religious texts hold an abundance of knowledge. At the same time, they are also a treasure trove of unique concepts for filmmakers to draw inspiration from. Debutant director Arjun Janya, with 45, picks one such concept from the Hindu Mahapuranas, particularly the Garuda Purana, which speaks about several aspects of life. This includes mythology, relationships between gods, ethics, conflict between good and evil, heaven, hell, karma, rebirth, ancestral rites, and other soteriological themes, while also commenting on earthly concerns.
