Egg prices have reached unusual levels across several Indian cities, leaving both buyers and shopkeepers surprised. From Delhi and Mumbai to Patna and Ranchi, eggs are now selling at Rs 8 or more per piece in retail markets. For many consumers, this is the first time they have seen eggs priced so high, especially during the winter months.
