Aryna Sabalenka and Nick Kyrgios have hit back at criticism surrounding their exhibition match in Dubai, calling out the media and fans for what they believe has been unnecessary negativity. The much discussed contest, dubbed the “Battle of the Sexes”, saw Kyrgios take on the world number one in women’s singles on Sunday, December 28. Played on a custom court with modified rules, the match ended with Kyrgios winning in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3.
