KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysiaβs barometer index ended firmer today, reversing losses earlier in the day to close 0.21 per cent higher -- a new high this year -- driven by late buying activities amid signs of year-end window dressing.
At 5 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) rose 3.54 points to 1,684.53 from Mondayβs close of 1,680.99.
The FBM KLCI, which opened 3.33 points lower at 1,677.66, slipped to the dayβs low of 1,673.87 during the morning session but regained its momentum in the final hour of trade to close at the day's high.
