Attacks βtook βplace in β the capital of Caracas and the states of Miranda, Aragua and La Guaira, the statement added, prompting Mr Maduro β to βdeclare a βstate of emergency and β call βon β social and political forces β to βactivate mobilisation plansβ.
The Venezuelan National Armed Forces and police are βdeployed to guarantee sovereignty and peaceβ, a statement from the presidency said.
