A day after US President Donald Trump launched a sharp-edged tariff salvo at them, eight European nations on Sunday issued a joint statement expressing full solidarity with the Kingdom of Denmark and the people of Greenland, news agency Reuters reported. After Trump threatened to annex the Arctic island, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Britain said they stood united in support of Greenland amid rising tensions.
