Twelve people, including the brother of a former mayor, were detained on Wednesday in an investigation into corruption in Istanbul’s Bayrampaşa district municipality. Mayor Hasan Mutlu from the main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) was arrested last September in the same probe.
