Israel should help the Kurds in Syria as they face attacks by the Syrian government, a Kurdish analyst has told the βPost.β
The analyst asked not to be named due to concerns about his safety and that of his family, because some countries in the region ban people who speak to Israeli media.
Nevertheless, he had a message for Israelis and Jews: βThis is the Kurdsβ October 7 moment.β
Over the last week, the Syrian transitional governmentβs forces have swept across a swath of Syria, pushing back the Syrian Democratic Forces.
The SDF is led by Kurds, and it has its origins in Kurdish forces who fought ISIS and prevented ISIS from taking over Kurdish cities such as Kobane in 2014.
