The European Union has agreed with India to move ahead with the signing of a new security and defence partnership, as Brussels prepares to deepen ties with New Delhi ahead of a summit next week. New Delhi and Brussels are also expected to announce the conclusion of a free trade agreement.
Speaking in the European Parliament on Wednesday, EU Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas said the partnership would form part of a broader strategic agenda that is ready for signature at the upcoming EUβIndia summit in New Delhi.
