Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday laid strong emphasis on manufacturing excellence, urging Indian industry and start-ups to adopt a policy of “zero compromise” on quality as the country works towards becoming a developed nation.
In his 130th episode of Mann Ki Baat, the first address of 2026, the prime minister said quality must become the defining identity of Indian manufacturing.

He called on businesses to make excellence the central benchmark across sectors, from textiles and electronics to packaging and technology.
