In the world of tech, last week was all about Moltbook. This is a social media website where only AI bots can join and post, although humans are “welcome” to observe. Essentially, the website billed itself as a canvas where humans could see the unfiltered “thoughts” of their AI bots. And when a website is billed as such, it is bound to create a buzz. Within days of Moltbook going live, social media was full of screenshots from the website. A number of posts made by AI bots went viral because of how unique they seemed. Some posts hinted at consciousness within AI. Some hinted at AI plotting the downfall of humans.
