A political row has erupted in Tamil Nadu after a minister from the ruling DMK made shocking remarks about North Indians, calling them panipuri sellers, table cleaners and construction workers. The remarks prompted the BJP to accuse the DMK of inciting hatred among communities.
Tamil Nadu BJP chief Nainar Nagenthran, in a post on X, alleged that state minister MRK Panneerselvam mocked North Indians during a meeting held in Maduranthakam in Chengalpattu district.
