Naraphat Sakarthornsap has been interested in flowers since he was a child. When he was a primary student, he spent a summer break at his aunt's house in Surin. He liked to look through his aunt's botany books and remember the names of the plants and flowers. When he went to market, people were surprised that he could recognise a plant like nom maeo.

Although Naraphat is an LGBTI, there was a time when he did not want to reveal his sexual identity. As an artist, he subtly hints at his LGBTI identity through photos and art installations incorporated with flower elements.

His second solo exhibition in 2015, "Gushing Out My Confession", depicted nude photos of young men with various kind of flowers in different poses. The photos conveyed his sexual identity to viewers.
