Workplaces should introduce screening for obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) following an estimated annual productivity loss of up to ยฃ4.22 billion in the UK attributed to the widespread condition.

Researchers say a pilot scheme could be trialled for roles where daytime sleepiness carries heightened risks, such as professional driving.

OSA, believed to impact approximately eight mill
