Booth Level Officers (BLOs), who represent the poll body at the grassroots level, are vital cog in the Election Commission of India's ongoing second round of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise of voter rolls in several states, but over 25 suicides by BLOs citing mounting work pressure have raised questions from various quarters on their workload.
