Gen. Mamadi Doumbouya was declared the winner of Guineaβs weekend presidential election, according to partial results released late Tuesday, marking the countryβs first vote since the 2021 coup that brought him to power.
Doumbouya won 86.72% of the votes counted so far, according to the General Directorate of Elections.
