UK stock market posted its best day in six months on Tuesday and the pan-European Stoxx 600 index continued to gain after breaking the 600 mark for the first time on Monday.

The Iseq All-Share index went against the trend to end the session down 0.80 per cent to 13,081.31.
The losses were driven by a number of the indexes biggest companies. Kerry Group fell 0.94 per cent to โฌ73.60.
A poor day for the banks saw all three of Permanent TSB, Bank of Ireland and AIB lose ground.
