North Korea increased pressure on South Korea over the weekend, claiming that South Korean drones were being flown over North Korean territory, prompting an immediate denial from Seoul, which has been working for a breakthrough in deadlocked dialogue with Pyeongyang.
The back-and-forth of accusation and explanation took place following Pyongyang's claim early Saturday that South Korea infringed on its sovereignty with drone incursions in September last year and in the past week. The South Korean Defense Ministry immediately rebutted the claim saying that the drones in question were not models operated by the South Korean military.
