Court delays sentencing request to Tuesday, but experts say ruling schedule will remain unchanged
The Seoul Central District Court on Friday postponed the sentencing request for former President Yoon Suk Yeol over his botched 2024 declaration of martial law.
At around 10 p.m. Friday, during what was supposed to be the final hearing on Yoonβs insurrection charges, Judge Ji Gwi-yeon scheduled an additional hearing for Tuesday to hear Yoonβs closing argument and special counsel Cho Eun-seokβs sentencing request.
