US President Donald Trump said Wednesday he has been told on good authority that Iran has halted plans to execute protesters, even as Tehran continues to signal fast-track trials and harsh punishments amid a sweeping crackdown.
“We’ve been told that the killing in Iran is stopping — it’s stopped — it’s stopping,” Trump said.
