A family member of a 12-year-old girl who was shot in the head during a shooting at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School in British Columbia, Canada, this week said the student was trying to save her classmates at the time.
The student, Maya Gebala, was one of more than 25 people wounded in Tuesday’s shooting and airlifted to BC Children’s Hospital.
