The three passenger trains that once operated between India and Bangladesh were the Maitree Express, the Bandhan Express, and the Mitali Express. All three names symbolised camaraderie, friendship, and cooperation between the two neighbours that share a 4,096-kilometre-long border and 50 rivers.
Beyond that, Bangladesh has been Indiaβs most important trade partner in South Asia, while India has been one of Bangladeshβs top export destinations.
