JOSEPH Salmon of Jamaica College (JC) threw 63.44m to win the nder-20 discus event while Zachary Wallace clocked 45.77 seconds to highlight the second day of the Jamaica Carifta Games Trials at the National Stadium on Saturday.

Wallace, running unattached, found extra speed in the final stretch and surged to a personal best of 45.77 in the Under-20 400m. He pulled both Junior Gallimore of Hydel High School and Jabari Matheson of William Knibb Memorial High School to personal bests of 45.87 and 45.90, respectively.

Paul Henry of Foga Road High School booked his relay spot, finishing fourth in 46.23 ahead of the Kings
