US stocks are wavering in mixed trading as the price of oil gets back to rising. The S&P 500 fell 0.3 per cent, coming off a rare day of modest moves following a wild stretch caused by the war with Iran. The Dow Jones was down 434 points, or 0.9 per cent, and the Nasdaq composite was 0.4 per cent lower. The Australian sharemarket is set to retreat, with futures at 5.07am AEDT pointing to a fall of 74 points, or 0.9 per cent, at the open.
