US President Donald Trump said the future of Taiwan ultimately rests with Chinese President Xi Jinping, while warning that Beijing knows Washington would strongly oppose any military move against the island.
Speaking to the New York Times in an interview published on Thursday, Trump said China’s leader views Taiwan as part of China, but stressed he has made his position clear.
