CISF Raising Day is observed across India on March 10 to mark the foundation of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), one of the most versatile security agencies in the country.
Established in 1969 under the CISF Act, 1968, it was created to secure industrial units but has since grown into a specialised force guarding airports, seaports, metro networks, heritage sites and nuclear facilities.
