The opposition has warned more so-called ISIS brides could make their way back to Australia after Kurdish-led forces withdrew from a camp holding families of Islamic State fighters in northwest Syria.
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) used al-Hol camp to mostly house women and children related to ISIS fighters after the Islamist group’s collapse, with resident numbers peaking at 73,000 in 2019.
