Patrick Keating, the high-flying banker son of Paul Keating, has categorically denied any involvement with Jeffrey Epstein or his associates after newly released documents showed the late sex offender suggesting to another disgraced associate that the former Prime Minister’s son would take him out for social “fun”.

The US Department of Justice has published a fresh tranche of emails as part of its ongoing disclosure of documents linked to the notorious paedophile, who died in a New York jail cell on August 10, 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

Katherine Keating, the daughter of the former Labor PM, has previously made headlines over her previous social links to Epstein, his associate Ghislaine Maxwell — who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence after she was found guilty of child sex trafficking in 2021 — and disgraced royal Prince Andrew.

Ms Keating’s name appears several times in email exchanges and other documents released in the Epstein files — including between Epstein and Jes Staley, the then-chief executive of Barclays Bank.

Neither she or her brother have been accused of any wrongdoing by authorities.
