Artificial intelligence (AI) apps that โ€œnudifyโ€ images of people without their consent are not currently banned under European Union regulations.

The European Commission confirmed in response to a question from a number of MEPs, including Fianna Fรกilโ€™s Barry Andrews, that even AI apps that generate child sex abuse imagery are not banned under the existing AI law.
