Five weeks after his stunning exit at Penn State, James Franklin has landed his next coaching job.

Virginia Tech finalized a deal to hire the 53-year-old on Monday afternoon. He will replace Brent Pry, who was Franklin’s defensive coordinator with Vanderbilt and Penn State for over a decade and went 16-24 with Virginia Tech before being fired on Sept. 14.
